Traditional dishes in Bologna

Find out more!
In one of Bologna's oldest alleys, Trattoria Leonida offers all the goodness of Emilian and Bolognese cuisine with a menu rich in tradition, where you can taste typical Bolognese dishes with ingredients typical of our area, processed and prepared just as our grandmothers did. The restaurant where we serve our dishes is the same one that in the 1600s hosted students from Germany who came to Bologna to attend university. Here they would meet with the innkeeper, who was also German, to breathe 'air of home'.

EMILIAN CULINARY TRADITION

The same cosy and homely atmosphere can still be found within the walls of Trattoria Leonida, with the difference that now it is the cuisine and typical Bolognese dishes that are the main attraction, since 1938.

The restaurant is waiting for you in Vicolo Alemagna, in the historic centre of Bologna, ready for you to taste the typical dishes of Emilian cuisine.

La Trattoria is a piece of Bologna's history, In Mauro Bassini's book 'Qui era tutta lasagna' (Here it was all lasagna), the director Aldo Fabrizi and his crew used to have lunch and dinner at Trattoria Leonida during the filming of the movie 'Hanno rubato un tram' (They Stole a Tram)
