The restaurant where we serve our dishes is the same one that hosted German students in the 17th century who came to Bologna to attend university. Here, they would gather with the innkeeper, also German, to enjoy a taste of home.

The Trattoria is a piece of Bologna's history. Mauro Bassini's book "Qui era tutta lasagna" recalls the times when director Aldo Fabrizi and his crew used to have lunch and dinner at Trattoria Leonida during the filming of "Hanno rubato un tram."
