Trattoria Leonida Awards
In one of Bologna's oldest lanes, Trattoria Leonida serves the best of Emilia-Romagna and Bolognese cuisine. Our menu is steeped in tradition, with local specialties made from ingredients typical of our region, prepared just as our grandmothers used to make them.
The premises where we serve our dishes are the same ones that welcomed students from Germany in 1600, when they came to Bologna to attend university. They would gather here with the innkeeper, who was German too, to enjoy a taste of home.

Trattoria Leonida is part of Bologna’s history. In Mauro Bassini’s book “Qui era tutta lasagna,” he recalls the times when director Aldo Fabrizi and his crew would regularly have lunch and dinner at Trattoria Leonida while filming “Hanno rubato un tram.”
