Bolognese restaurant in Bologna's old town

Trattoria Leonida is located in Vicolo Alemagna, just minutes from the Due Torri, Piazza Maggiore and Piazza della Merchandise.

After dining at our restaurant, it's easy to slip back into the narrow streets and squares of our beautiful city to wander around, go shopping, visit exhibitions, churches and museums, and discover all its marvels, both big and small, whether historical or otherwise.

Our restaurant, with its cosy and rustic atmosphere, is found in one of the alleys of the old town. There is a small terrace located at the entrance to the restaurant, where guests can try all the specialities of our cuisine in a peaceful setting, looking out onto the street which was long ago home to the lodgings where many German students came to live or spent time. Hence the name Alemagna (Germany).

Our menu offers typical Emilian and Bolognese specialities, including dishes suitable for vegetarian diners.

Typical Bolognese cuisine among the narrow streets of Bologna's old town

Whether you are a tourist who wishes to experience the flavours of our cuisine or a Bolognese native who would like to rediscover their traditional dishes, Trattoria Leonida will be pleased to welcome you into our dining rooms or out on the comfortable veranda overlooking Vicolo Alemagna, one of many narrow streets running through the old town.

The small terrace offers customers (both smoking and non-smoking) the chance to have lunch and dinner while enjoying the beautiful spring and summer days, away from the hustle and bustle of the centre but just a short walk from the major historical and cultural attractions of beautiful Bologna, the city which inspires all our traditional cuisine.

Our restaurant is open for both lunch and dinner from Monday to Saturday.

We are open on Sundays when the fair is taking place.
